Description:

Recommended for Grade 12

This Student Exercise Book complements the Teacher Manual with the same title.  It emphasizes connections between life issues and spiritual foundations, examines personal identity, and explores adult Catholic lifestyle commitments. The course includes a focus on ordained life, marriage, lay ministry, single life, and spiritual gifts in response to the changing society in which young adults often delay long-term choices.
The text consists of five parts: Growing into Adult Life, Developing Relational Skills, Maturing Male-Female Relationships, Calling and Commitments, and Adult Catholic Lifestyles.

Exercise books can serve as records of individual faith journeys.  Activities stimulate class involvement, explore real-life experience, promote biblical and doctrinal literacy, foster creative thinking, teach community commitment, invite spiritual growth and prayer, and present service as essential to discipleship.  This resource is to be used in conjunction with the Teacher Manual by the same title.

Activities:
Students participate in discussions and brainstorming sessions, role-play conversations, and reflect on experiences.  They assess their progress in the areas of identity and intimacy. They list opportunities and challenges of single life. They consider what being a priest in the Church today means. They rate expectations for partners in a marriage relationship.
