Recommended for Grade 12
This forty-lesson unit emphasizes connections between life issues and spiritual foundations. It examines personal identity and explores adult Catholic lifestyle commitments. The course includes a focus on ordained life, marriage, lay ministry, single life, and spiritual gifts in response to the changing society in which young adults often delay long-term choices.
The text consists of five parts: Growing into Adult Life, Developing Relational Skills, Maturing Male-Female Relationships, Calling and Commitments, and Adult Catholic Lifestyles. Considerable emphasis has been placed on the use of Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church as sources for information and inspiration for a deeper relationship with God. This resource is to be used in conjunction with the Student Exercise Book by the same title.
Teachers guide student discussions, conduct brainstorming sessions, and encourage students to reflect on experiences.
