Sin and grace are presented in the context of our covenantal relationship with the God who loves us unconditionally.  This resource emphasizes the mystery of the human person, weak in sinfulness, strong through salvation by Jesus’ death and resurrection.

This booklet addresses the biblical notions of sin as noted in Hebrew Scriptures, Christian Scriptures, and early Christian reflections.  It examines original sin, mortal and venial, social sin, and grace.  The following questions, examples of those included in the text, help to deepen knowledge of sin and grace:  How has your understanding of sin changed as you grew into adulthood? Do you have any favorite stores from Scripture dealing with sin? Can you identify any sinful structures from which you may now be benefiting?
