This nine-session resource encourages daily prayer, Scripture reading, and journaling. It is appropriate for those either beginning or enhancing their relationship with the Lord. This volume, formatted similarly to Seek God’s Face, is designed for use with small groups and contains general guidelines for small-group faith sharing. The first session contains an opening prayer service and organizational suggestions for future meetings. The last session contains a closing prayer service and the opportunity to create follow-up activities as the group completes the sessions. Sessions in between include daily scriptural readings, meditation starters, and prayers.
Each session presents a theme based on the suggested readings. Scriptural passages come from Deuteronomy, Psalms, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Micah, and the Synoptic Gospels.
Individual participants engage in daily prayer time. They read specific scriptural passages and are given opportunities to journal. They are encouraged to share thoughts from their journal entries or insights from the session’s scriptural reading.
